From a Georgian street frontage to a walled garden, The Silk House offers several distinct period settings in a single location — useful for drama, period pieces, adverts, music videos and editorial or fashion shoots.

With seven en-suite bedrooms in the house, cast and crew can stay on location, subject to availability — no unit moves at the start and end of each day.

  • The front of the house is on a main road; rooms at the back are quieter for sound
  • No dedicated car park: on-street parking outside is limited to 30 minutes between 8am and 6pm, with public car parks nearby — talk to us about vehicles
  • Grade II listed: we'll talk through what's possible with set dressing and fixings
  • Stairs throughout and no lift

What kinds of shoots do you host?

We're happy to talk about film and TV, adverts, music videos and stills — from editorial, fashion and product photography to larger productions. Tell us what you have in mind.

Can we come and see it first?

Yes — recces are welcome. Get in touch with your dates and we'll arrange a time.

Can cast and crew stay on site?

Yes, subject to availability. There are seven en-suite bedrooms in the house, including a Family Suite of two adjoining rooms.

Where can our vehicles park?

There's no dedicated car park. On-street parking outside is limited to 30 minutes between 8am and 6pm, and there are public car parks nearby. Let us know your vehicle numbers and we'll talk it through.

Can we redress or move furniture?

As a Grade II listed building there are limits on what can be fixed to walls and original features, but we're happy to discuss your plans for each room.
